Levon Helm - Ramble at the Ryman (Vanguard)
On Sept. 17, 2008, Levon Helm took his Midnight Ramble on the road to the Ryman Auditorium. Accompanied by Buddy Miller, John Hiatt, Sheryl Crow, Sam Bush and Billy Bob Thornton, the result is a live CD and DVD, which are being sold separately. The show included songs from Helms’ days with The Band, solo material and covers of songs by Chuck Berry and the Carter Family.
The Blind Boys of Alabama - Take the High Road (Saguaro Road)
This marks the first country gospel CD in the 70 years of the band. Jamey Johnson co-produced the disc, which features Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr., Lee Ann Womack and The Oak Ridge Boys.

Zoe Muth and The Lost High Rollers - Starlight Hotel (Signature Sounds)
Seattle musician Zoe Muth makes her label debut. She self-released her self-titled debut, which drew much praise. The High Rollers are Dave Harmonson on pedal steel, electric guitar and Dobro, Greg Nies on drums and keyboards, Mike McDermott on bass and Ethan Lawton on mandolin.
